Coach Chris Batzinger will be the lead coach for this group. Coach Chris is a former college volleyball player who has lead some of South County's top teams in the past years. Chris also coaches North Kingstown  High School Boys  volleyball team where he has won several state championships. 

Jenna Knight and Tom Paquette will also be working with this group. 

Hello 17-Blue players and families,

I'm so excited to coach this group this winter and get to know you all.  I've been coaching with South County since 2016, primarily in our top level of 16-18's.   My main philosophy regarding coaching club is to strive to achieve team success through individual growth.  One of the challenges of this age group is that the reasons for playing vary so much more than any other age.  Some have goals of becoming all-state players, some want to earn a spot on a college volleyball team, others just love the game and that's how they want to spend their free time.  I will do my very best to help all 10 of our girls achieve their individual goals, in addition to my main priority of creating an experience that you all look back on in 5, 10, 15 years and think "that 2024 season was such a great experience".  If anyone ever has any questions for me please reach out at any time, I can't guarantee that everyone will be over the moon about every decision that I make, but I promise you that there's a well thought out reason for each choice no matter how small it may be.
