Hello families,

on 1/30/2024, I called the hotel booking company used for this event to confirm that our team has satisfied the hotel booking requirement for this event.  I was surprised to learn that rooms booked at Baymont by Wyndham Savannah Midtown will not count towards our required # of rooms for this event.  When I first started the process of securing hotel rooms for this event, I was bounced around from company to company as the blocks of rooms filled up quickly.  I did everything I was told to do and eventually secured rooms at Baymont Wyndham Savannah Midtown.  This is our 10th season of SCVB and I've gone through this process each and every year for different events.  This is the first time the process has been so difficult.

I was on the phone today with THSWEB.COM.  (Tournament Housing Services).  This was were I started months ago and they are working to find us hotel rooms that satisfy our requirement.

I am also trying to negotiate the option to waive our requirement and allow families to book anywhere they would like for this trip.

I apologize for the last minute inconvenience, this caught me off guard today as I followed the instructions provided to me months ago about securing hotel rooms for our teams.

At this point, families that have booked at The Baymont, should call and cancel.  The contract states no charge for cancellations prior to 72 hours.  

Coach Tom Paquette will be the lead coach for this group. Coach Tom has coached some of South County's top teams, and has coached local high schools in the past. Erika Ward will be the assistant coach for this group, she played D1 volleyball at Bryant University. 

Jenna Knight and Chris Batzinger will also be working with this group. 

First Practice is 11/26/23 at NKHS 7:30-9:00pm
