Recording to Hudl from an iPhone

This is the most common feature. Learn the best ways to make sure your phone is set up for recording. Note: Club turns off sound for all teams. If the wifi is spotty, don't turn it on for recording. Keep it off. You can record to the app without wifi on. Then, after the day is done, turn your wifi on, open Hudl and leave open (works best overnight) until the video is complete. Have a problem? Submitting a Video to Hudl Assist

What does it do? Hudl assist will do all the work to stats your matches. You just need to submit your game video. Submit by the entire match. Do not break up the video by sets.They often can do this within a 24 hour period.

Identify Unknown Players

This occurs after a match has been submitted to Hudl Assist. Sometimes they can't identify a player on your side and you need to tag them. This happens fairly often and you should get in the habit of checking each match by opening it after Hudl Assist informs you they have completed the game.

Analyzing Your Stats

Review your stats after Hudl Assist is completed so you can plan your next match and practices.

Create a Playlist

This helps you create special playlists that you can share with athletes or groups of athletes.

Add Comments and Drawings

This is very helpful when you want to point things out and have a running discussion on plays with the team.

All head coaches will be given a specific season monthly stipend.  This stipend will be determined my your teams practice schedule, tournament schedule, years of coaching at SCVB and coaching experience.  Assistant coaches will be asked to track their coaching hours and be assigned an hourly rate of pay.  In addition to their hourly rate of pay, assistant coaches will receive a stipend of $75 per tournament date that they attend to assist their team or another team.

A portion of the monthly head coaching stipend includes a rate of $100 per tournament date to cover your expenses for the day.  If you miss a tournament date that someone else needs to cover, your monthly stipend will be reduced by $100 X # of missed tournament dates.  Likewise, if you cover another teams tournament date, you will receive an extra $100 per covered date.

Coaches will receive their stipends in 4 installments.  (approx: December 5th, February 5th, April 5th, and May 5th).  Boys Coaches - approx Dec 1st, Jan 1st, Feb 1st, March 1st,

The December stipend will also include any tryout hours, $120 stipend for NERVA and AAU memberships.

Tournaments that require overnight stays.  This will be at the discretion of the club director, but I'll do my best to provide hotel room or stipend when it makes sense to do so.  The stipend will be in the amount equal to approx 50% of a reasonable hotel room rate per night.

* Special note for coaches that have children in our 23-24 competitive program.  All families will pay the tryout fee to have their child attend our tryout.  Head coaches and full-time assistant coaches will receive our discount code when accepting a roster spot and paying the season tuition.  Head coaches will receive a 100% discount and assistant coaches will receive a 50% discount.  Coaches that earn more than their discount will be paid a stipend at the end of the season.  Coaches who have children who are also attending the same overnight tournament:  Will normally not be eligible for hotel rooms or stipends.  

Our Summer Programs will remain at no cost for our SCVB Coaches athletes.
