Our Mission

South County Volleyball Club is a non-profit organization that was formed to provide a high quality volleyball program for the young athletes in and around South County, RI.  Our goal is to provide the highest quality coaching while keeping focused on the valuable life skills athletics can provide.  The goal will always be to provide the best possible learning environment for our athletes.

We are currently offering both NERVA indoor teams for both boys and girls as well as a beach volleyball club through Volley America

History

Our beach players with Gold Medal winner and Hall of Famer Misty May

South County Juniors Volleyball was created in the summer of 2015 as a beach instructional volleyball club to provide an outlet for the girls of South County, RI to learn the fast paced game of beach 2 on 2 volleyball.  From that original group of 30 girls on the beaches of South County, grew a girls indoor club of 6 teams in our inaugural season.
The summer of 2016 saw our beach club grow to over 150 girls and 30 boys.  We hosted many different styles of tournaments, and concluded the season with the first ever high school beach volleyball championship, won by Bishop Hendricken (Boys) and North Kingstown (Girls).  The 2016-17 indoor season saw the inception of our boys program, which had great success in NERVA, and the second season of our girls program, which grew to 15 teams of all ages 12-18.   Our focus was to have our athletes coached by the best coaches in Rhode Island, and to grow through the sport of volleyball.
Summer of 2017 saw continued growth in our beach program, which had increased numbers on both the boys and girls side.  We hosted a number of unique tournaments, including NCAA Beach Championship format which was a huge hit amongst our athletes and families, as well as the second high school tournament, this time won by North Kingstown (Boys) and Team Connecticut (Girls).
Our 2017-18 indoor season is upon us, and as our numbers grow, we have continued to add accomplished and driven coaches to the mix, and offer Instructional and Recreational opportunities as well.
